An Interview With The Hammerettes

This is an interview with the Hammerettes Dance Group.



The Hammerettes are best know for being the Dance group at West Ham, but also They are the dance group from The Ladbrokes World Darts Championships.



1: How did the group start?

Back in 1996 by Carl Bailey who is the CEO of the Hammerettes. He had a passion to create his own sports dance team as sports were a huge part of his life.




2: How long has the group been going?

17 years.




3: What’s your favourite Darts tournament?

PDC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DARTS of course :)




4: What’s been your Darting highlight?

Apart from meeting Phil 'the Power' Taylor... dancing next to him live on stage!




5: Are you any good at darts?

Yes Laura Davies got a bullseye with her first dart.




6: Have you got any ambitions?

To get to Dubai for the Rugby 7's. We have danced in Hong Kong, now would love to complete a tour in Dubai.




7: If you could have your own walk-on music, what would it be?

We loved dancing to the Gangnam style as the crowd always got involved with the dancing.




8: What would you Darting nickname be?

The Super-Allstar Hammerettes :)




9: Do you have a favourite Darts Player?

Phil Taylor of course.




10: Tell me something we don’t know about you?

We will be dancing at the Celebrity Soccer Six tournament this May.





11: What do you like to do in your spare Time, if you have any?

Holidays are always fun, you can't beat a bit of sunshine. And it saves us buying copious amounts of fake tan ;)




12: Any advice for someone wanting to get involved in being a Hammerette?  Email
hammerettes1996@gmail.com You will need to be a team player and have a fab personality to blend with the existing team. We are always looking for potential new team members and hold training on a weekly basis where we invite new members to try out for the team.
