Stuart Kellett came from 5-3 down to knock out number one seed Dave Chisnall 6-5 and reach his first European Tour quarter-final at the UK Masters. Chisnall made the early running, breaking throw with a 14-darter in the opening leg and hitting an 11-darter before a 116 finish put him 3-1 up. Kellett replied with a 12-dart finish before Chisnall hit tops to lead 4-2, and after the Cheshire ace hit double four to win his third leg, a 118 checkout from Chisnall put him a leg away from the win at 5-3. Kellett, though, finished 86 in two darts to hit back, landed a 180 in a 14-darter to force a deciding leg and punished Chisnall for a slow start in the 11th leg by taking out double six for the win.

Robert Thornton edged out Arron Monk 6-5 to claim his place in the UK Masters quarter-finals - but almost threw away the win with five missed match darts before he finally took victory. A tight contest swung both ways as Thornton took the opening leg, Monk hit back to lead 2-1 and the Scot then took a 3-2 lead. Monk levelled, but finishes of double 12 and double top put the UK Open champion on the verge of victory at 5-3. However, he missed a dart at the bull for the match in the next and was off-target on double ten in the next leg as Monk forced a decider. Thornton hit a 171 to be first to a finish in the final leg, but missed five match darts - including one at tops which he initially thought was in as he celebrated prematurely - before Monk missed double 12 with two darts to complete his comeback, and Thornton finally took his chance on double ten to set up a quarter-final with Stuart Kellett.

Phil Taylor sealed his place in the quarter-finals of the UK Masters with a comeback 6-5 win over Richie Burnett. Burnett took the opening leg with a 119 finish, but Taylor hit a pair of 180s and a brace of double 16 finishes as he edged 2-1 up. Burnett replied with a maximum and double 12 as he levelled, and added further 180s in taking the next two legs - with finishes of double 16 and 81 on double 12 - to leave the World Champion 4-2 down. Taylor, though, hit back with a 76 finish and levelled by taking out 107 on tops, before hitting the front on double 16, despite a 177 from Burnett in leg nine. Burnett landed tops to force a decider, but Taylor as first to a finish with scores of 140 and 135 during the leg before hitting double 16 to progress.

Andy Hamilton set up a quarter-final with Stoke rival Phil Taylor with a 6-3 win over Raymond van Barneveld. Hamilton hit a 180 in taking the opening leg before finishing 78 on tops to break, after the Dutchman missed double 18. Van Barneveld hit back on tops, but Hamilton posted double 16 and double ten to move 4-1 up and take command. Van Barneveld again responded, finishing 77 before thrilling the Butlins crowd with a 156 checkout to cut the gap to one leg at 4-3. Hamilton, though, edged the eighth leg on tops before hitting a 180 and double 16 to secure the win with a 14-darter.

John Part won through to the UK Masters quarter-finals by fighting from 5-2 down to take a 6-5 win over Mensur Suljovic. Although Part took the game's opening leg, the Austrian won the next four to take command at 4-1. Part posted a maximum as he took the sixth leg, but was punished for a miss at double 11 as Suljovic moved 5-2 up on double four. Part hit double four to begin his fightback, and cut the gap to 5-4 by taking leg nine, which had seen Suljovic post a 180 before the Canadian took out 77. Part then finished double 12 to force a deciding leg, and when Suljovic missed a dart at tops to win the game, the three-time World Champion finished 77 on double five to edge to victory.

Adrian Lewis powered in six 180s as he swept past Mark Webster 6-1 to win a quarter-final place in the UK Masters. Lewis won the opening leg on double six, and though Webster levelled on double ten, it was the Stoke ace who pulled away. After missing the bullseye to finish 170 in leg three he returned to finish double four, before then breaking throw with a maximum and a 78 checkout - after Webster missed tops - and hitting another 180 to set up a 63 finish in moving 4-1 up. Lewis then hit two 180s in an 11-darter to move to the brink of victory, and opened the next leg with back-to-back maximums - missing out on a nine-darter but finishing 72 on double 12 for his last eight spot.

James Wade defeated top-four rival Michael van Gerwen 6-4 to set up a tasty UK Masters quarter-final with Adrian Lewis. Wade was overtaken as world number three by van Gerwen a fortnight ago, but hit back in style with a strong display to continue his challenge at the Butlins Minehead Resort. The pair traded 180s in the game's opening leg as double five put the left-hander ahead before van Gerwen levelled on double 14. Wade landed two maximums as he hit double four to move back ahead, before van Gerwen posted a 180 and a 64 finish to square the contest. Wade, though, took the next three legs to move 5-2 up and take control of the match, before the duo traded 180s in leg eight as van Gerwen kept his hopes alive with a fine 140 finish. The Dutchman added a fourth 180 and double ten to pull back to 5-4, but missed the bull to force a decider as Wade pinned tops for the win.

John Part secured a fine 6-4 victory over Simon Whitlock to move into the semi-finals of the UK Masters in a high-scoring last eight contest. Both players hit 180s as Whitlock took the opening leg, before Whitlock landed another maximum in leg two only to miss to darts at doubles as Part levelled on tops. The pair again traded 180s in leg three, with Part this time punished for a missed double as Whitlock posted double 16, before the Canadian took out 96 and double 16 to move ahead for the first time at 3-2.
