PDC McCoys Premier League- Judgement Night

Week Nine - "Judgement Night"

April 4 - The Brighton Centre

New Order of Play
Adrian Lewis v Raymond van Barneveld
Phil Taylor v Robert Thornton
Wes Newton v Andy Hamilton
Gary Anderson v James Wade
Michael van Gerwen v Simon Whitlock

So its finally Judgement night in Brighton. A lot is at stake this Thursday with all the matches being make or brake.

The first match on is Lewis v Barneveld. Jackpot needs the win to stay in the tournament and beat the drop. Lewis beat Hamliton last week 7-4 to a lot of peoples surprise, so he is riding the crest for this weeks match. Barney is all most safe but he will still want to take Lewis down after the disappointment of losing to Taylor last week.

Second up is Taylor against Thornton. Thornton is showing the form of his life at the moment and seems to enjoy it up there on the Premier league stage. He smashed Whitlock last week 7-1. Taylor went back to his old phase 5's Last week for his match with Barney, will he change back to his new darts this week? A lot of people are saying he will, so that tells us he either wanted to beat Barney so bad or he has no respect for the Thorn this week expecting to beat him with his new set up. My tip is that which ever way the Power goes he will be beat fair and square by Thornton.

Newton v Hamilton is third on. Another must win match for Newton. He came up trumps last week against Anderson, and ended a lot of peoples betting hopes (including Mine), so can he avoid the drop? I think he can. He has just won the European Darts Trophy in Germany so his confidence will be on a high! Hamilton will just play the board he has done it time after time, so you can never count him out.

Fourth up is Anderson against Wade. The flying Scotsman Lost out to Newton last week with A very poor show on his doubles, but his soring was good. So the same old Anderson then i hear you say. When hes on his game he is unstoppable, its just hes off it more than hes on it lately. Wade on the other hand is AWESOME at the moment. He is flying high and hitting everything he throws at, He was also tipped by John Lowe at an exhibition last Saturday to win the whole thing. I for one think he can do it!

Last on is van Gerwen v Whitlock. van Gerwen is on 10 points and safe, the Wizard on the other hand is 8th and needs to win to stay safe. He withdrew from the European event last weekend to concentrate on Thursday night, lets hope it pays off. If both bring the form we know they have it could be the match of the night.
